Donations
are now being accepted for 2008. We are in need of new toys
for children of all ages. Contact Corporal Harry Erickson,
the program coordinator, at 562-570-7448. 
In 2007, the Toy Patrol was able to provide gifts to children in over 300 families throughout Long Beach. In addition, hundreds of additional children were provided with toys by officers and volunteers during the week of December 19-24. There were enough toy donations to fulfill every request, thanks to the generosity of our supporters.
Along with our returning supporters, we had some new corporate sponsors this year, and again placed our collection boxes in the Long Beach Public Libraries. This proved to be very beneficial to the program, as we were able to distribute toys and gifts to each and every boy and girl who was signed up for the program.
Community support and generosity was amazing in 2007. For this, we are very grateful, as were the local families who benefited from your generosity.
Each and every person who dropped a toy into one of our many collection boxes in police stations, libraries, businesses and offices, can take pride in knowing that their donation made a difference in the life of a child. Monetary donations allowed us to purchase gifts for teens, and bikes for all ages.
There were smiles and tears, hugs and handshakes at every stop. This was all made possible through the generosity of businesses, individuals, volunteers and police department employees.
I want to personally say "thank you" to each and every person who helped to make the 2007 Toy Patrol a great success!
